If this is priced in the 50k range BMW better watch out because I would pick this over the modern M3!

I have a feeling they'll try to undercut the M3/M4 (is there going to be a sedan, or only the coupe?) by a little bit, but not as much as they might have in the past. Caddy is getting pretty aggressive with tying their pricing directly to their competitors rather than undercutting them by several thousand dollars.

there will be a 4 door as well from what I heard

Hell yes, this is a way better pick than the current slop of boredom that the M3 is. After the E46 they kind of fell off the mark...

I will be veeerryyy tempted to buy one of these from Carmax in a few years once depreciation takes its toll. It'll make a great do-it-allmobile to go alongside a super uncomfortable aggressive something-or-other

More likely it'll be in the $60k-$70k range.
I like it, but something about Cadillacs seems off to me. I think it's the edges of cutouts, like the wheel arches or the bottom lip in the rear. Just seems...unfinished?

It's because while around the front wheel flares are quite busy, the rear end is kind of plain.

No, no, not that. It's the edges themselves, and it's an effect present on all of GM's cars, including the C7. Like, you take a gander at something from MB, Audi, or even Ford. The edges seem chamfered, smoothed, polished, and give off the appearance of the body being made of very thick material. GM, on the other hand, has this almost squared off look to the edges, and it makes the material look thin and flimsy.
The effects are most egregious in the wheel wells.

100% agree with that. I'd take that over an M3 on looks lone. Would still need to drive it, but man what a looker.

I would certainly take this as well.

You are right though, GM clearly didn't want buck up and spend on new quarter panels and all the updates to the assembly line they would've required for welding.
